This course reviews the key changes in ISO 9001:2026 and the transition from ISO 9001:2015. It is designed to familiarize auditors with the revised requirements and the areas that may affect the auditing and certification process.

You will learn many things during this course, including:

A review of how ISO 9001 is structured, including where ISO standards come from and how Annex SL affects them.
An overview of the publication of ISO 9001:2026 and what stays the same from ISO 9001:2015.
The climate change requirements carried over from the 2024 amendment, and the new “quality culture” concept throughout the standard.
Updates to the quality policy, the return to “continual improvement,” and the revised wording for documented information.
The rewritten risk requirements in 6.1.2 and the new, separate opportunities clause in 6.1.3.
New requirements for customer communication on contingency actions, design and development outputs, and customer satisfaction, including social media as a source of information.
Updates to internal audit objectives, management review inputs, and other smaller changes throughout the standard.
Key new guidance in the expanded Annex A, including strategic direction, accountability, risk versus opportunity, and management review frequency.
The GAC transition deadlines, practical transition scenarios, and what to expect for staff and internal auditor transition training.

Individuals/companies who will be responsible for implementing/managing an ISO 9001:2026 quality management system, industry professionals interested in working with such parties, and anyone who wants to get a better understanding of the standard.

Exam:

Successful completion of the exam is required to pass the course. There is a 2-hour time limit for the exam, and it must be completed in one session.
