In an industry as highly-regulated and rigorous as aerospace, the importance of partnering with the right certification body cannot be understated. At PJR, we are accredited to certify companies to AS9100, AS9110, and AS9120. These three crucial certification standards allow manufacturers and other organizations to do business with industry giants while being assured of their systems’ integrity. Let our experienced team of auditors and support staff join your efforts to achieve aerospace certification!
The ubiquitous aerospace industry standard, AS9100 incorporates ISO 9001 elements with unique aerospace aspects. Developed by a committee of executives from the major US aerospace manufacturers, AS9100 is intended to reduce supplier chain defects, improve quality, increase customer satisfaction, and reduce the amount of time spent on audits, requirements, and documentation.
Similar to AS9100, AS9110 is a quality management system for the aerospace industry. However, AS9110 stands apart as being intended for aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul organizations (MROs).
A newer standard, AS9120 is a sector-specific certification for aerospace suppliers known as “stockist distributors” or “pass-through distributors.” This standard was intended to replace the old SAE standard AS7103. Unlike AS9100, AS9120 does not contain ISO 9001 in its entirety.
